A Year with the St. John’s Bible
Ignite your Spiritual Imagination at BTSR
BTSR has the rare and exclusive privilege to host the Heritage Edition of the St. John’s Bible during the 2014-15 academic-year. Smithsonian Magazine called the project “one of the most extraordinary undertakings of our time.”
This full-scale fine art edition of the original manuscript has never been on display in Virginia.
Come see the volumes, learn about the creation of the first fully handwritten and hand-illuminated Bible in more than 500 years. Enjoy lectures featuring BTSR faculty and experts from St. John’s University.
Join the conversation about engaging the Bible in new ways, explore the interplay of art and the Word, consider the relationship of contemporary images, scientific concepts, ecumenicism, and social justice as rendered through scriptural interpretation.
Celebrate the power of the Word of God!
