Theological Education: Master of Divinity
The Master of Divinity degree is the basic graduate degree in theological education. Through required courses and guided electives, students develop theological understandings and competencies that prepare them to serve in a variety of ministries. They learn about the historical, biblical and theological foundations of the Christian faith. Students are encouraged to align their interests and gifts with their chosen course of study.
Students can select from four recognized concentration areas in our Master of Divinity degree: Christian Education, Youth & Student Ministries, and Children & Family Ministries. There also are numerous opportunities for students to focus their electives in a specific area with the MDiv program. To learn more about these concentrations, begin on page 47 of our course catalog (PDF).

The Doctor of Ministry degree program offers a broad base of knowledge and gives students the opportunity to concentrate on one of the following areas as part of their study: Christian Education, Christian Mission, Pastoral Care, Pastoral Counseling, Preaching, Spirituality, and Worship.
