Mission Immersion Experience

The Mission Immersion Experience (MIE) program is unique to BTSR.  The seminary has a clear vision and emphasis on global ministry and students strengthen their preparation for Christian vocation by having an interactive experience with other cultures
before graduation.

Participating students engage in practical missionary activities which include cultural exposure and education, incarnational ministry, home-stays, leadership roles, or other ministry-related activities.

The MIE program is internationally-oriented; however, trips to the Appalachian Mountains, New Jersey, and Canada have also been a part of the program. International trips include Kenya, Brazil, Cuba, the Former Yugoslavia, Costa Rica, Spain, Italy, and Thailand.  Students must complete eight credit hours before enrolling in the MIE course.

For more information on this program, please feel free to contact our MIE Coordinator, at mie@btsr.edu .
