| As a member of the Richmond
Theological Consortium (RTC), Baptist Theological Seminary
at Richmond works in cooperation with the programs and activities
of the RTC alongside member schools Union Theological Seminary
and Presbyterian School of Christian Education (Union-PSCE),
and the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology of Virginia Union University (STVU).
The Consortium, established in
1969, provides students and faculty of each of the member
schools access to the resources of the other institutions.
The RTC schools are in very close proximity, making cooperation
and fellowship natural and easy to facilitate.
The RTC offers many benefits to the member schools. A student
enrolled in an RTC school may cross-register in courses
for which he or she qualifies at any of the RTC institutions
or may elect to participate in specially designed RTC courses
jointly sponsored by all the schools. The students have
full access to the library located on the campus of Union-PSCE
and to the bookstore and cafeteria in Lingle Hall. An RTC
newsletter keeps the community informed of campus life,
intramural sports, and academic and chapel programs.
