Professor Pleasants joined the BTSR faculty after two years as Visiting Associate Professor of Religion at Wake Forest University. She also was Associate Professor of Church History and Director of the Institute for Baptist and Anabaptist Studies at the International Baptist Theological Seminary in Rüschlikon, Switzerland, and Prague, Czech Republic; and Assistant Professor of Church History and Registrar at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary.
