BTSR’s online learning opportunities offers additional options for flexibility and different ways of learning in its degree programs. We offer a number of online courses and by 2012 one third of the M.Div. will be available online. Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond has been offering online courses since the year 2000 using the Blackboard learning management system.
Up to 60 semester hours can be obtained through our online courses for the M.Div. degree program.
By taking these courses online you can do classwork any day of the week and at any time of day. The courses are offered in Fall, Spring, and Winter terms. Online courses allow for maximum flexibility to complete your degree while performing other responsibilities. Some students begin their seminary theological education at BTSR exclusively through online courses before coming to our campus, while others complete their degree online after completing their on-campus studies.
All of our degrees have a residential requirement as mandated by accreditation standards.
Wherever you live in the United States, you can complete an M.Div. degree through a mixture of online classes, and regular semester-length classes. Consult the course schedule to find the online courses currently available.
