School of Christian Ministry
The School of Christian Ministry brings you learning opportunities that are academically sound, biblically grounded, theologically challenging, and faith-affirming. In our online courses you will learn with and from others as you develop practical ministry skills and strategies that are immediately applicable to your ministry context.
Lecture Series
Two lecture series are held at BTSR each year.
- Solon B. Cousins Lectures (October) Outstanding scholars join with the BTSR community seminary for discourse on biblical and theological issues.
- Lawrence Hoover Lectures (Spring) The focus is on issues of importance to the life of the church and Christian ministry.
The Chester Brown/Hampton Baptist Church Preaching and Worship Conference
This three-day conference features outstanding keynote preachers, as well as educators from the schools of the Richmond Theological Consortium. The conference offers opportunity for renewal and inspiration, time for study in an outstanding theological library, and a chance to enjoy the historic attractions of Richmond and central Virginia.
